Brick work lecturer Nick Smith has headed several projects with students including the Brick barrier - featuring the letters EFC - at the entrance to the College. Several projects are underway for the students before they finish their course and go into industry or progress in education. Russell, the Construction technician, who supported the students on this project said: “Between us both – Course tutor Nick and Russell -we have 80 years of experience between us. We know what to do in most of the situations when problems occur.”

Sidney and Jake has also built metal fencing around front of the college using recycled metal fences, this has enhanced the security and safety of the students.
Sidney is progressing onto Level 2 Bricklaying course and Jake is joining the Army next year.
