London Lions Education & Basketball Development: Level 2
Epping Forest College is proudly partnered with the London Lions Basketball Club, bringing you a unique full-time basketball programme designed to link sports theory with elite standard coaching and league & cup competitions.
The programme is designed for anyone looking to embark on a career in the sports industry; primarily in coaching, training or sports development; giving valuable experience and insight into developing and supporting elite performance.
Students joining this Level 3 BTEC course will benefit from an elite standard of professional basketball coaching delivered by the London Lions’ players and coaching staff. and be involved in league and cup competition.
Students will receive ten hours per week of basketball coaching and competitive performance plus the theory and industry knowledge required for the qualification.

The London Lions was successfully launched as the only professional basketball club in London for the 2012 – 13 season. The team uses the Copper Box Arena, originally built for the 2012 London Olympic Games, as its home venue. Students on our basketball course will have the exciting opportunity to train and play at this state-of-the-art venue, and be involved in league and cup competition. EFC Lions are currently 2017/18 AOC London 1 Champions.

Register for this course and we'll email you an application form to complete to post back to the college.Apply online
Attend an interview
We'll let you know within 4 weeks that we've got your application form and invite you to an interview. You'll discuss the course and and help that you will need.
Get an offer
Conditional offer: We'll offer you a place at EFC subject to your GCSE results in August. This varies depending on the course you have chosen. You will be invited to enrol during the last week of August.
Unconditional offer: If you meet the entry requirements for your course, we will give you a confirmed place and invite you to enrol in May/June this year.
Complete your enrolment
Finally, you will come in to the College to enrol, get your student ID badge, and you'll be ready to start your course in September!
